Extending horizontally from a short wall arm, the shade projects outward in a low dome that keeps most of its volume close to the mounting surface. The copper exterior carries a fragmented layer of oxidation, with pale patches breaking through darker underlying tones and forming an uneven, weathered pattern across the curve. These areas do not follow a consistent direction, giving the surface a scattered, almost flaking appearance when viewed up close.
Fixed beside an entry or along an exterior wall, the opening casts light downward in a controlled wash beneath the shade. Differences in oxidation pattern and tonal distribution vary across each piece, and the copper will continue to shift gradually as outdoor exposure alters its surface over time.
