The Story of Moroccan Interior
Honoring artisans across Morocco
Crafted by Hand. Carried by Story.
About Moroccan Interior
At Moroccan Interior, every piece begins in the hands of an artisan — in a brass workshop glowing with fire, on a loom nestled in a mountain village, or at a leather bench worn smooth by years of practice. These crafts are shaped by family, by place, and by traditions that move at their own, steady pace.
Our Mission
Our role is simple: to honor this work and share it with care. We choose materials that hold their own stories — copper that deepens with patina, wool tinted by natural dyes, leather softened through skill and repetition. Each piece follows the rhythm of the maker’s hand, never rushed, never stripped of its character.
Our Story
Moroccan Interior emerged in the uncertainty of the Covid pandemic — a time when handmade work stood on fragile ground. What began as a modest idea grew at a natural pace, shaped by the artisans we met, the materials they cherish, and the quiet traditions that continue to guide us.

Our Roots Across Morocco
Across Morocco’s landscapes, every region carries its own rhythm of craft — the metallic echo of brass in Marrakech, the vibrant sabra looms of Kalaat M’Gouna, the earthy wool scents of the Atlas Mountains, the hand-shaped clay of Fez.
We collaborate directly with artisans in:
- Marrakech — brasswork & leather
- Kalaat M’Gouna — cactus silk weaving
- Tazenakht & the Atlas Mountains — traditional rug cooperatives
- Fez — pottery & metalwork
These partnerships are personal. One of the first artisans we worked with, Abdelkabir, a leather craftsman in Marrakech, saw his workshop fall silent during the pandemic. Our first collaboration with him didn’t just revive a product line — it helped keep a craft alive.

Ethical Craft, Made With Intention
For us, beauty begins long before a piece reaches your home. It begins in the environments where it’s made — where creativity is valued, time is respected, and artisans can work with dignity.
We commit to:
- fair, above-standard wages
- safe and supportive workshops
- small-batch production
- natural, cruelty-free materials
- sustainable, locally sourced fibers, clay, metal, and leather
Every item is made slowly and intentionally — a reflection of the hands that shaped it, not the speed of production.

The Values That We Stand For
We build our brand on principles that celebrate people, preserve culture,
and ensure fairness at every step.
Direct Artisan Partnerships
We work face-to-face with makers across Morocco. No middlemen — just honest collaboration and shared purpose.
Fair Work & Fair Pay
We believe the value of a piece should reflect the dignity of its maker. Every artisan earns fairly, transparently, and sustainably.
Sustainably Made
Natural materials, thoughtful processes, low-impact dyes, and eco-conscious packaging. Better for the earth, better for the craft.
Rooted in Culture
Each piece carries a sense of place — its region, its raw materials, the hands that shaped it, and the quiet story woven into its making.

Our Fair Trade Promise
Fair trade, for us, begins with people — the artisans whose hands bring each piece to life.
We partner directly with makers across Morocco to ensure their work is valued, their skills are honored, and their livelihoods are supported with fairness and dignity.
Every artisan we collaborate with earns fair wages, works in safe, supportive spaces, and creates at a pace shaped by handcraft — never mass production.
By removing intermediaries and working face-to-face, we ensure the value of each piece stays where it belongs: with the people who made it.
This partnership-first approach preserves heritage techniques, strengthens artisan families and cooperatives, and keeps centuries-old Moroccan artistry alive — a mission your purchase directly supports, helping these craft communities thrive for generations to come.
“When someone chooses my work, it feels like the craft I learned from my father continues to live. It gives dignity to my hands.”
— Abdelkabir, Leather Craftsman, Marrakech
A Cultural Bridge, Piece by Piece
Moroccan Interior exists to connect homes around the world with the makers and materials of Morocco.
- Clay shaped in Fez.
- Brass hammered in a Marrakech courtyard.
- Sabra silk spun under the sun of Kalaat M’Gouna.
- Wool washed and woven in the Atlas Mountains.
Each piece carries its origin with it — from the hands that crafted it to the home it will belong to.
