The cylindrical shade hangs straight and steady, and its enclosed form directs illumination downward through the open base, concentrating brightness below rather than outward. Because the shell is metal, contact points and edges continue to change tone with handling and cleaning.
Each unit passes through a small workshop team that works in short runs, so the spacing and shape of worn sections differ from piece to piece. Over time, exposed areas deepen in color while lighter sections gradually dull from air exposure.
