The wide, flattened dome shade spreads outward in a low profile that keeps the fixture visually close to the ceiling plane while covering a broad surface area below. Hammered brass gives the metal enough stiffness to hold that span without flexing, and the slightly uneven strikes break reflections so glare stays controlled when the lamp is on. The surface already shows tonal shifts from gold to deeper brown patches, typical of handled brass.
Each unit is finished in small batches by a tight workshop team, so hammer spacing and edge lines vary slightly from piece to piece. With use, exposed areas where it’s wiped or touched gradually brighten while recessed marks darken.
As with all handmade pieces, each lamp is unique. Subtle variations in texture, finish, and detail are part of its character and reflect the hands that shaped it.
