The copper surface already shows green and brown patina spreading unevenly across the dome, with darker areas settling near the crown while lighter zones remain along the lower curve. The broad hemispherical form directs most illumination downward, leaving the upper shell visually heavier when lit. Inside, the metal reflects a warmer tone that softens the edge of the shade’s rim.
This shape also helps the fixture hang steady without sway from small air movement. Each batch comes from a tight workshop run where a few makers finish shades sequentially, which is why the patina distribution and edge coloration differ slightly. With handling and exposure, high spots brighten while recessed areas continue to darken.
As with all handmade pieces, each lamp is unique. Subtle variations in texture, finish, and detail are part of its character and reflect the hands that shaped it.
