The wide, flared copper shade extends outward before tapering to a narrow neck, directing illumination downward onto the surface below. Hammered metal gives the shell structural stiffness, so it hangs steady without sway when air shifts. A green-toned band wraps the lower half, contrasting with the exposed copper above and marking where the surface has already begun to change in tone.
This type of finish continues to deepen with handling and air exposure, especially along the rim. Each piece is shaped and finished in small workshop batches, so hammer spacing and the transition line between tones differ slightly from one lamp to the next, and raised marks gradually brighten where touched or cleaned.
As with all handmade pieces, each lamp is unique. Subtle variations in texture, finish, and detail are part of its character and reflect the hands that shaped it.
