Visually, the pouf sits low and contained, reading as a compact cube rather than a soft cushion. The surface is leather, cut into small panels and stitched tightly enough to hold shape while still showing slight rounding at the edges when weight is applied. In daily use, it works as a footrest or temporary seat, compressing under load and slowly returning without spring.
The leather shows fine grain variation across panels, with seams that don’t align perfectly from side to side, a result of small-batch assembly handled by Abdelkabir’s leather workshop in Marrakech rather than a fixed production line. Over time, areas that take repeated contact darken and smooth first, especially along the top plane and corners. Each piece settles differently as the leather relaxes and the fill shifts with use.
Each pouf is made from a unique hide, so variations in grain pattern, tone, and small surface markings are normal. Minor differences in stitching alignment and panel shape reflect hand assembly and are part of the handcrafted process.
