The pouf is constructed from full-grain leather selected for surface integrity and long-term durability. Panels are hand-cut and assembled individually, then stitched into vertical channels that help maintain shape while allowing the leather to flex under weight.
The leather is finished to preserve its natural surface character rather than sealed for uniform appearance. This allows the material to breathe, respond to handling, and age naturally over time. The internal structure is designed to support regular sitting and footrest use without collapsing or losing form.
With regular use, the leather will gradually darken in areas of frequent contact, particularly along the top surface and edges. The surface will become smoother where hands and feet rest most often, while lighter creases and grain variation will become more visible.
This change is part of the leather’s natural behavior and does not affect structural performance. Occasional conditioning will help maintain surface flexibility and even aging, but the pouf is designed to develop character rather than remain uniform.
Each pouf is made from a unique hide, so variations in grain pattern, tone, and small surface markings are normal. Minor differences in stitching alignment and panel shape reflect hand assembly and are part of the handcrafted process.
