Rather than forming a simple dome, the shade swells outward through its midsection before drawing back toward a narrower top, giving the profile a rounded, vessel-like shape. The copper surface is covered with large hammer impressions that remain clearly visible across the entire exterior, creating a repeating pattern that breaks reflections into smaller highlights and darker pockets. Variations in tone move across the metal, ranging from brighter copper areas to deeper brown sections without a sharply defined boundary.

Suspended above a dining surface or kitchen island, the broad lower opening concentrates light beneath the fixture while keeping the exterior visually understated. Differences in hammer pattern, reflection, and tonal depth occur naturally between pieces, and the copper will gradually develop darker areas as it responds to handling and environmental exposure.
