An uneven lower edge interrupts the otherwise rounded dome, creating a slight dip that breaks the symmetry of the shade’s outline. The copper surface carries a worked texture beneath a layered mix of exposed metal and green oxidation, with darker areas remaining closer to the top while the patina spreads irregularly across the lower section.
This distribution does not follow a fixed line, giving the surface a shifting appearance as the form curves away from view. Suspended over a table or counter, the opening directs light downward in a defined area beneath the shade. Differences in edge contour and surface tone appear from one piece to another, and the copper will continue to darken and change as it reacts gradually to its surroundings.
As with all handmade pieces, each lamp is unique. Subtle variations in texture, finish, and detail are part of its character and reflect the hands that shaped it.
