Rising from a narrow neck into a rounded bell silhouette, the shade carries most of its volume through the upper half before dropping into a clean circular opening. Large hammer impressions remain visible beneath the finish, creating a shifting pattern of highlights and darker pockets across the copper surface. A band of deepened tones separates the brighter upper section from the oxidized lower portion, where green patina gathers in irregular formations that resemble a changing horizon around the circumference.

The broad opening keeps illumination concentrated beneath the fixture, while the exterior surface remains the dominant visual element. No two oxidation patterns settle in exactly the same arrangement, and the contrast between exposed copper and verdigris typically becomes more nuanced as the metal continues to mature.
