Instead of a smooth perimeter, the lower edge follows an undulating outline that rises and falls around the circumference, giving the shade a distinctly irregular profile. Across the copper surface, raised winding bands travel horizontally from side to side, creating layered relief that stands apart from the underlying metal. Reflections gather along these elevated contours while darker tones settle into the surrounding areas, producing strong visual contrast across the dome.

Suspended above a dining table or kitchen island, the broad form spreads outward while keeping most of its volume close to the ceiling line. Variations in edge movement, surface relief, and copper coloration occur naturally from one piece to another, and the metal will gradually darken and develop additional tonal complexity through continued exposure and handling.
