Story

Visually, the pendant sits as a broad copper disc suspended low over the surface below, with a softly irregular rim that undulates around the edge of the shade. The top reveals a dense hammered field radiating outward from the center rod, where repeated hammer marks create small dimples across the metal. When placed above a table or kitchen work surface, the wide diameter directs most of the light downward beneath the shade, while the outer edge remains darker and more pronounced in the room.

Each pendant is shaped and finished in a small workshop where a handful of metalworkers handle pieces one at a time, so the hammered pattern and the boundary between copper and green oxidation never appear identical from lamp to lamp. With years of use, the exposed copper slowly deepens in color while the green patina around the rim can broaden or shift slightly as the metal continues reacting to air.

As with all handmade pieces, each lamp is unique. Subtle variations in texture, finish, and detail are part of its character and reflect the hands that shaped it.
